Videostudio 2018 Ultimate install problem

Hi,

I've just bought the Corel Videostudio 2018 Ultimate upgrade. When I tried installing it on my computer, after it downloaded all files, I got an message stating that there was an error with the installation (possibly not in these exact words, since the message was in french), and to contact customer support. I've tried running the install program exe file with administrator privileges, also tried deleting all the files in the download directory in case one of them was corrupted and tried to run the install exe as an admin, and still the same result. Any advice would be appreciated.

Please help.

Did/Do you have other VS versions installed?

I experienced a problem similar to yours, and it was very difficult to fix. It needed help from Corel support. You can try uninstalling VS2018, deleting all the installation files, running the cleanup program (see sticky in this forum). If you are handy, removing any VS2018 entries in the Registry may be required. I sure hope you don't need to take it that far to get it to install.
