Curious. When I change the color of a preset Title and run it in Project mode, the changed color shows, not the original.

Maybe it's the specific preset I selected? Please try the one I use. I hope the screen capture can indicate the one.

Yes. With that one I get the same thing as you. I changed it to red, and it appeared red in Clip mode, but reverted to the original gold in Project mode -- although I would note that the gold now has a red outline! But I have tried other presets and the color remains changed in Project mode.

Thanks Ken. The interesting thing about that Title Preset is that it shows a different color in clip mode than in Project mode without making any changes. So this Title Preset does not behave properly. Not just Clip and Project, simply double-clicking on it and the color is different.

EDIT: I found other Title Presets that behave the same.

Yes, I had noticed that the original color of the one you first chose was quite dull. That made me wonder just how they achieved the gold effect. However they do it, I suspect that may the reason why it still appears gold in Project mode since whatever produces that gilded effect apparently overrides the new color apart from the outline. Did the other ones you found have a similar golden glow?

You are using a predefined 3D title effect but we can only edit 2D. If you open the option panel (via icon), click the Attributes tab, click to select Emboss in the effect list, then click the delete X, you can change the font color and outline color and it will remain true in the Project mode, but not be 3D.

Yes, I think so.

This works. Instead of X (deleting it), click icon in front to disable Emboss, then enable it back.
