VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Title?
Now it looks like you cannot have different fonts in one title? I could do that with the older versions. Why? Did I miss anything?

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
Yes, I noticed that too.
At first I thought I had imagined being previously able to change font or colour for individual title words or letters.
However a quick trip back to VSX10 proves that it was a feature now seemingly lost in VS2018?

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
I'm a little puzzled here. After reading your posts, I just opened VS2018 and created a title. I clicked in the title track of the timeline and got the usual msg in the preview screen: "Double click here to create title". I did so. The Options panel became visible as in the attached image (I've squeezed down the preset Titles screen to make the image smaller). It showed Arial Black as the first available font, which I used for the first letter T. Then I simply scrolled down the fonts choosing different ones at random to make the title. The last letter D, as you will see, is the Goudy Stout font shown in the Options panel. I click outside the marching ants box around the title and can move it around the screen to where I want it.
Or have I missed something here?

Ah yes Ken it does seem possible if you do it that way - change the font before typing each letter - BUT - could you now try just selecting one of those letters you have already typed - then try to change the font or colour - I think that's where the change from X10 is

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
Yes, I had already discovered that when I tried to change the colour of individual letters already in the title. The font window is inactive and the colour patch stays stubbornly white!

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
I thought it might be possible to edit one of the titles which comes with VS. But again the font and colour selections are unavailable.
EDIT: I then made up a title using MS Word, with a different font and colour for each letter. I copied it and tried pasting it into the Title box on the VS preview screen. It pasted, but using a single font, and indeed the font was not one used in the production of that title in Word! All one colour too (and not a colour used by me in Word). And again neither colour nor font could be edited.

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
I agree something is wrong. I inserted one of the Title presets and then changed the color. The window shows the changed color, but in project mode play, the color reverts back to what it was. There are some bugs in this area.

I've raised this matter with our Corel contacts, and will report back when I hear anything.

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
Just wondering.
Is it possible to create titles in VSX10 and then import them to VS2018?
If so, where are the saved titles stored?

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
A quick answer from Corel. They say that if you select the Options panel only, everything works as it did in earlier projects. I've tried it and confirmed that it works. See attached image and make sure you click the blue button where the green arrow is pointing. Corel say they will include a full fix in the next service pack.

I have no issues when trying this way - can change individual letter font face, size or color.BrianCee wrote:BUT - could you now try just selecting one of those letters you have already typed - then try to change the font or colour - I think that's where the change from X10 is

Re: VS2018 Cannot Change Font for Individual Letters in a Ti
I still have issues following the guidance from Corel. Insert Title Preset, double-click, type your new message. Click on options panel. Change color. Changed color shows in window, but when clicking project mode, color is unchanged. Here is some screen captures.
