I have had GoPro Studio on my computers for some time. And I have Cineform too if my folder C:\Program Files (x86)\CineForm\Tools is anything to go by. But how/where can I access Cineform within VS? I have looked through the Share > Custom options but there is no specific mention of Cineform in any of them...

EDIT: for the benefit of others, I have just found it under Custom > AVI. I had been looking through the mpeg options...

I note BTW that there is a box in its Config screen which enables 4:4:4 encoding (progressive).

Even VS 2018 can read the 10 Bit footage of a GH5 and work with it. Exporting it looks like this result:

Crap!

VS2018 identifies the original codec from Panasonic as H.264 High 4.2.2 Profile-Video at 29,970 fps and audio LPCM ...

What were the export settings for that? And was the original 4:2:2 footage 4K or HD?

Thanks!

Yes the original footage was 4.2.2 in 4K at 29,970 fps at 400Mbps ...

The export settings are this (I took the default 30fps one and adjusted to 29,970fps):

MPEG-4-Dateien
24 Bit, 3840 x 2160, 29.97 fps
Bild-basiert
H.264 High Profile-Video: 65000 kbps, 16:9
48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC-Audio: 256 kbps
