VS7SE Huh?

I've had VS5 and VS6. I got VS7SE with the purchase of a DVD burner. I see VS8 is the latest release. What is the "SE" in VS7SE? Why did this bundle come "free" with my burner when VS usually costs a lot? What am I missing that I would get if it was VS7 or VS8 instead of VS7SE?

So far I am happy. Where is the edge of the cliff I'll fall off if I go there?

The SE editions are feature-limited editions, they usually lack the ability to output to one or more formats that are included in the full retail or ESD version. Some cannot burn any disks, others only VCDs but not DVDs etc.

If you decide to upgrade to the full unrestricted product, Ulead will give you a discount for being an existing UVS owner.
