Can anyone point me to where titles (basic VSP titles) created and saved are stored? I have some that I created in X10 I'd like to use in 2018, and I'm not sure where to find or import them. I guess I could export them as an animation sequence file, but then they would not be editable.
TIA.
Tom

Re: Location of Custom Created Titles
Hi Tom
When we create a Title it shows on the timeline as a separate clip, we can drag that to the Library as a copy.
The timeline clip is embedded into the VSP project file and not saved as a separate file, same for the Library where it is embedded to the library structure.
You can open VSP’s made with earlier versions with 2018
Create a new VSP using X10 that contains your Titles
You can open your X10 projects to drag the clips to the Title library, do that for all VSP’s.
Start a new project and insert all titles to timelines
Open that in 2018 and drag all titles back to the library.
I would create my own Titles library page to hold these titles.

The titles file is VS_Title.dat and it's in theplasmavideo wrote:Can anyone point me to where titles (basic VSP titles) created and saved are stored? Re: Location of Custom Created Titles
Thanks for both suggestions. I could see that it would be possible to copy the dat file over to the new folder, but it would have to be done before creating any new titles, I assume.
It would be nice to simply have an import function, and each title created as a separate file, or indexed within the dat file for easy import.

You are incorrect, that file have all the titles that you saved as favorites as well.plasmavideo wrote:Thanks for both suggestions. I could see that it would be possible to copy the dat file over to the new folder, but it would have to be done before creating any new titles, I assume.

Re: Location of Custom Created Titles
Hi
I have just tried another option that seems to work by using the Library Export / Import options
It appears that this also includes the Title clips. Don’t know why this has not been thought of before.
I tested this with clips placed in the My Favourites category, which did work.
I would assume that any user created Title would export and import from one VS version to another.
By the way the Export and Import options do not replace the libraries but adds to the libraries.
I will do a few more tests, but it does appear to be a good option in moving Title clips, although the number of mouse clicks would be same as creating the VSP?

Ok ignore that.
It did work when importing libraries made with 2018, but not with libraries from X10
Well, it appears to work ok from X9 to X10 importing titles but does not import to 2018 hmmmm
