I have just installed into VSX10, whilst they do now display in the library, as soon as one of the filters is selected, VS crashes with the normal Corel Video Studio has stopped working message, or corrupted video file cannot be dropped message

Maybe thats why they are free.

i was mistaken that they installed to X10, although i was sure, but certainly have installed to 2018 without problems
I'll copy the files to X10 to see what happens.??
by the way the filter install shows in Program and features, if you want to uninstall go there.

Downloaded revised package, Paint Effects now installed into VS 2018, VSX10 and VSX9 and all working correctly, like you installation did ask for licence but just ignored it, so as far as the desktop, Win 7, is concerned, no issues. this is the first time in a long time that the installation path actually worked, normally have to copy and paste

Now i copied the files from 2018 to X10, program closes when trying to use filter, no errors.
works ok ik 2018.

Ken has provided a file called NewBluePaintEffectsForWindowsCSetup30.exe
That does indeed install correctly
During install there are two options to add a paths, I filled in the details for X10 and 2018, both installed ok.
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\vft_plug etc

I did not have to copy any files across, install completes ok.
After install there was a popup from NewBlue requesting activation, as the filters are supposed to be free I ignored that, so far they seem to work ok
I will upload the file to my One Drive for you to try. Just tried that and my internet failed, will try again, give it some time, oh I have cleaned that folder.

Kenneth can you run the NewBluePaintEffectsForWindowsCSetup30.exe again, make sure you add the paths to the installation panels for CVS 2018 and X10
They should install without the need to copy any files

Did notice that when requesting the licence it did state that there were 15 days left of trial, so be interesting to see what happens in 2 weeks

winning, ran the install again, now I have X9 and X10 working
The program did not like copy and paste at all.
I am out of here for a few hours, need the rest.

I did not notice the reference to the trial, i do have a licence key from Ken but it may be specific to him so did not wish to apply it should it mess things up?

Tried to install on the laptop Win 10, no go, does not show in the library, tried both ways, adding path and copy and paste

Update,
Now have same problem as VSX9 on desktop, VS 2018 stuck on splash screen, then splash screen eventually disappears

Following Trevor's words of wisdom, I used the drop down arrow in the FX library to find loads of New Blue FXs including Paint effects that must have been there all the time! On originally looking for the downloaded FXs, I did not think there would be any others apart from Titler Pro 5 in the All category, thinking they would all be in the same place.I am sorry if this has caused confusion.

I had similar problems with Video Studio not launching, and if it did managed to start it would disappear when using the filters.
That was after using Copy and Paste.
I ran the installation file again and now have X5 through to 2018 all with the Paint filters

X5 and X6 appear to be more responsive whilst the later versions (64bit) are a little slow, having to wait a while after selecting the filter? Maybe I am being a bit picky
But 2018 took over 40 seconds to launch when I would expect 11 seconds on first run followed by 7 seconds, the second run took 35 seconds. Don’t know if that is attributed to the Paint filters.
Next time I re-install I will take particular attention to the launch times.

On the desktop, uninstalled VSX9, it just did not want to launch, will not try to install again as it would be necessary to uninstall VSX10 & VS 2018

Not sure what you meant by "I ran the installation file again" but ended up having to uninstall VS 2018 on the laptop and reinstall.
Now left with the same issue I had previously, the Graphics Pack from the Do More tab does not download a file to the desktop, only an installation file in the temp folder, which does not install.
Even tried copying them from VSX10, but this time only some of the files now appear in the library

I was referring to running NewBluePaintEffectsForWindowsCSetup30.exe again

To clear my problems I simply deleted the FX filters from the vft plug folder and everything returned to normal.
Then reinstalled the New Blue again.

Removing the NB Paint Filter Package did not resolve the problem, did try reinstalling again, same result, left with no option but uninstall/reinstall 2018 on the laptop

I did not uninstall New Blue Paint from Program and Features
I removed the vft files that were created or Copy and Pasted to vft_plug folder
There were 12 separate vft files added to that folder.
