Text defaults in 2018 are to bold, white colour, size 40, Arial black font, centre justified (selected text, attribute tab). In prior versions, the font et al tended to be what was last used, but in this version whenever it's opened a new text insert is as described. I find that it's too loud' and everytime I use text I change it, which led me to wondering if there's a default text configuration a user can set.
After a lot of poking around, could not find one. Does such a thing exist?

Re: Text defaults in 2018
Hi David
Yes later versions of X10 also suffered, like you I am sure at one time the last used title settings were used for the next title.
It does appear to be retaining the Font but not the size.
Then I have different results that I cannot explain.
Its just another small annoying anomaly that will never be fixed, probably at the bottom of the priority list.
Your easiest workround is to make a Title clip give it a meaningful name eg “Cantaneo BT at 60”
Set the font to Cataneo with a size of 60.
Drag the clip to your Title - MY Favourites folder, re-use that when you need those settings again.
Do that for any number of text settings.
Note that changing the project properties frame size will alter the font size, this effectively retains the actual text size for different frame sizes.
