Upgrade to 2018 Ultimate??

Hello all on this beautiful Monday.

I am a casual user of PSP. I currently have PSP X8.

Is it worth it to upgrade to PSP 2018 Ultimate for $25

Is it faster and easier to use.
I've been using just the basics of various PSP's for years and would like to take my skills to the next level.

For some it's faster, for some not, some like the new tools, others don't. It's impossible to say how you'll like it. Download the trial and give it a test drive first. While $25 is a good deal, it won't be worth it if you don't like 2018 or it fails to work properly on your system.

FWIW I'm still on x8. (Caveat- I no-longer use PSP as my go to editor). I simply couldn't see any 'new' features that suited my work flow in PSP2018. Upgrading will depend on want your needs are.

It is a good price !
You don't need to remove your X8. PSP 2018 will install side by side (I have 4 different versions of PSP on my PC).
The trial version is only 64 bit (your 32 bit plugins will not work but they will when you buy and install the Ultimate version 32 and 64 bit). "Ultimate" is for "free programs added".
Easier ? 2018 is similar. No worry.
Faster ? PSP speed is computer dependent. i7 is faster. SSD is faster. And type of work (big images with many layers) may slow down PSP.
