Hi,
This forum is amazing and have used it lots to teach me how to use VideoStudio. I have almost completed by first video and have run into an issue that doesn't seem to be answered on these forums as yet.
I have just completed a Multi-Camera clip and inserted this into my Project timeline. The issue is that I have quite a number of video clips and photos before and after this multi-camera sequence. If I go to adjust the duration of these clips before or after the multi-camera sequence it shortens the following clips to ensure the total project duration is held the same. Now I can see it would do this so as to ensure that the multi-camera sequence remains in sync with the audio however this would be easily achieved by ripple editing.
As a test, as soon as I delete the multi-camera sequence and adjust a clip length then all the following clips get bumped down and maintain their original duration which is what I want to do when the multi-camera sequence is in.
Please help....

Re: Multi-Camera Editor Effect on Synchronization
Hi
Not easy to explain…
The multi camera project file reacts differently to normal clips
As you mention when we change the clip length / duration yet the adjacent clip is also adjusted to add or remove frames retaining the overall duration of the MCE clips.
We are not changing the duration of one clip but simply moving the cut point so no frames are removed.
Non MCE clips would simply remove frames, all clips to the left would shuffle into place to fill any gaps.
At one time I did work out how to save the vsp to remove the MCE effect, unfortunately what I tried now just does not work. Hmmm
However changing the actual length of MCE clips will / may affect the audio, depends on how you have set the audio sync within MCE.

Ok we can remove the MCE effect by saving the project to open with an earlier version, we must choose X8 from the Save As Type options.
X8 does not have MCE.
Now import the new project to the 2018 library and drag to the timelines, VSP will act like a normal nested VSP and not a "MCE VSP"

Hi lata, thanks very much for your reply.
While I was playing around with your solution, I found a nice work around....
If you move the Multi-camera sequence from the VIDEO track to an OVERLAY track, then the original VIDEO track will behave as expected when changing clip duration!
