Hello,
Using PhotoImpact X3. I want to use the Stamp Tool, but need to download the templates. Where can I find the templates and how to download, etc.
And are there any other templates to consider as well...
Any help is appreciated,
SyBerGuy

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
Hi
It is a long time since I downloaded PI X3 but from memory the main program was a TBYB which was activated using our codes.
Additional contents packs were provided to complete the installation.
If you have lost these then you are best in contacting Corel Support, hopefully they will allow you to download the packs, I assume you registered the program.
If you are asking about additional content files then I do not think Corel provided those.

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
Hello Lata,
I downloaded ULPhotoImpactX3 several years ago, but my computer crashed and I lost the installation. But after contacting Corel support, I found my old paper documentation with a serial number. Plus I found on my Download Folder the Installation software.. and now successfully have this program on my refurbished "C" drive.
I also saw on my Download Folder another installation software, but not sure if it is for the templates I am asking about. I am enclosing a jpg file image of my Download
Folder. A hope you can see the installation software (which I labeled #2) for the templates??. I am not to happy clicking on this to install and mess up my existing PhotoImpactX3. However, if you think I can (or others post and say "go for it") I will try to install.
I sent an email to Corel (I guess sales department, not tech support) and might get a reply this coming week (I am sure they care off for the weekend, NYC EST here).
Thanks for your post and help,
Sy

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
Hi
Yes I have those files and have installed in the past.
I do not know which contains the stamps?
I would advise that you move the PI files into their own folder.
I have my files saved my D:Drive not “C”
The Paint Essentials was also part of PI downloads? Not sure what that does?

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
You can make your own stamps. There is a photoshop tutorial here
https://learn.corel.com/tutorials/creat ... ure-tubes/
on how to do it but it requires an export to "photo tube" file (.tub) function, which I am not seeing in Photoimpact.
However, in photoimpact it is easy to make new sets of stamps by creating a new .ufo image, and pasting the stamps you want as objects to the file, and saving it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\PhotoImpact X3\stamps
And then in the stamps toolbar, click on the downward arrow next to the stamp preview, select "Add Stamp" and choose the .ufo file you have just saved.
Here is my ufo file of Japanese culture related stamps.
http://nihonbunka.com/temp/JapaneseCulture.ufo
You can create sets of stamps quickly but getting one object and then apply a variety of effects to it.

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
Hello Tata/Roger Trevor,
I have not contacted Corel Tech Support… I decided to upload the existing “Content” file I have showing in my download folder (#2 screen capture) and did not create a separate folder. Now in Programs, PhotoImpact I see a folder called “Stamps”. I am not sure if it was there before the download. In any event, I can now use the “Stamp Tool” and when double clicking on a stamp image it will appear in my image. However, the surprise is that I needed to DOUBLE CLICK on the stamp image and then use the Stamp Tool. And I am not sure if I ever Double Clicked on a stamp image prior to the download?? In any event I see new stamp images, but not my favorite one; small animals, like deer, elephants, giraffes etc.
Second, Hello Timtak,
Thanks for the post about how to create a stamp via Photoshop (which I have, old version).. and also Using PhotoImpact to create my own image stamp. Maybe in the long range future, I might try this. BTW, I can't open the URL you send on Japanese Culture Stamps.
Thanks to all for your help,
SyBerGuy

Hi
The Japanese related stamp is a link to download the ufo
If you right click the link and choose save link as or open in new tab you should be given the option to download the file “JapaneseCulture.ufo”
You can open that file in PI to view its content, then if you wish import that to PI as a stamp

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
If you save the UFO file in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\PhotoImpact X3\stamps
folder then you will be able to select it from the add stamp option in the menu activated by the little drop down arrow next to the current stamp icon in the stamp toolbar of Photoimpact. I.e. Normal .ufo files are also stamp files, where each object in the file is treated as a stamp.
The video link I sent to the tutorial is how to make stamps in PaintShop Pro not Photoshop. My mistake.

Re: Stamp Tool, need to download Templates
Timtak and others,
I went to my old computer and found in the Ulead Photoimpact program area the Stamp Folder. And then was able to copy and paste the file "animals.ufo" into my PhotoImpactX3. Now I can use the "Stamp Tool" and add animals to my image document. Also by clicking on the file 'animals.ufo it opened into the screen.
Then I was also able to use each animal image. Plus as an Object I was able to add all the animals to the library Shapes area.. and also click on an animal and use it as well. As mentioned, I needed to go to the menu and small arrow to pick the "Animal" image. The only problem, is this; Q: How do I add the "animal" image into the Easy Palette area? It does not show up?
