PSP 2018 Crop Tool : view gets re centered when selected?

I have 20.0.0.132 so I guess I need to get the latest patch. Can I assume these are cumulative?

I just manually updated. Beware. PSP 2018 does not respect old workspaces. Save your current workspace, then in the load sequence, hit Cancel when it asks to save. Then press Load.

Still not fixed in 2019.

It loads a little faster than 2018 but X8 also loads faster than 2018.

I wish I could get my money back for 2018 as I'll be using X8 until they fix it.

Happy New Year! Thank you for your patient. In fact, we noticed this cropping issue in November of 2018 but the resource is very tight to resolve it in a short time. As you may know, we are working the next PSP version and do really spend all of our time on it. Finally, we got time to investigate this cropping issue and correct it. In order to make this error could be resolved soon, we would like to offer a hotfix through our customer service/support team. As long as the user reported a similar cropping issue and our customer service/support team will share the hotfix.

However, I would like to share the same hotfix here to the user who visited the forum frequently and ask your help to forward the hotfix to the user who encountered the same cropping issue as far as possible.

What if a user has PSP 2018, and not 2019?

I was going to point to a workaround:

Crop an area a little larger than the area you want, then make a precision crop. At least, this is what I did when taking screenshots of MS Word tables to make them into graphics. I used to do this in PSP7 (JASC):

I could have sworn that I was able to find this in a later (Corel) PSP, but I searched in x4, x6, x7, x8, x9 and 2018 and I can no longer find that level of precision.

My only suggestion would be to crop r rectangle a little larger than your final cut, then horse it around by hand until you have what you want. Takes longer, but unless an expert can find the precision crop control, it's all we have.

By playing around with PSP 2018 I found another workaround: Selections.

You can make a precision Selection in PSP 2018:

Then go to the Crop tool and select "Snap crop rectangle to: Current Selection"

That works. The workaround is how I gave you a snippet from a screenshot.
