Pan/Zoom settings change

Post by Tod E »

Being new to this program, maybe I am missing something, but if I put a photo onto the timeline and apply an animated pan/zoom effect to it and click OK, if I go back in to edit what I did it is no longer animated. Now it is "on the fly" and its p/z behavior has changed as well. Very frustrating and confusing to me. None of the settings I make seem to stick. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Pan/Zoom settings change

Hi Tod

And welcome to the forums…

That seems to work ok for me.
I added a jpeg image SP-I07.jpg to the top timeline
Double click the clip opens the option panel
Chose Pan and Zoom, that applies the first preset which simply zooms in with no pan.
When I click customise, that is what I see

If I choose another option, the second preset applies a small pan and zoom-in
Again it appears to work ok.

We can access the Pan and Zoom from an icon on the timelines ( to the left of T3D)
That opens the pan and zoom panel showing a Zoom at 200 for both keyframes ( view sliders)
From here we can add keyframes and apply a variety of P&Z

But as I say whatever I apply seems to stick.
