Can one not use a USB mixer for voice over audio input in Video Studio Pro x8? it only seems to recognise a webcam and the laptop onboard microphone
Thanks

Hi
And welcome to the forums
You do not give any details of your problems with Voice Over
Ok
What are your Project Properties, there is a known issue when PP are set to use Surround Sound
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
Try changing Project properties to Stereo
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

Re: Audio input device
Hello AvR,
I would be tempted to use something else entirely different to record the voice track if this is your intention.
Something such as Audacity (free download) may be able to cope with the USB mixer better. You could also have VS playing beside it so that you can keep track of things and perfect your timing.
I would be tempted to record a few samples and ensure that they import safely first.
