I captured 2 hours of DV video (to Windows .avi format type 2). The video and audio are synched and both video and audio playback for the entire 2 hours with both Windows Media Player and PowerDVD (the .avi capture).
However, in both Studio 8 and Studio 9 the Audio, for longer times than about 1 hour 20 minutes, drops out even though it is actually present. The audio drops in playback in Studio AND when the DVD is burned.
This effectively prevents me from using Ulead Studio 8 or 9 for longer than 1 hour or so capture times. What gives?
Audio > 1.5 hrs present in .avi but lost in Studio 9?

Any particular reason you captured using Type 2 encoder? While it should certainly work (and does for me), a lot of people on this Board have had trouble with video captured with Type 2. I can only suggest, if you have the patience, re-capturing using Type 1 and seeing what happens when you render and burn (on an RW disc so you don't create yet another drink coaster!)
