IPTC Metadata Template
I'm totally puzzled. Is there not a way to create a template for IPTC caption data, and then to apply that template to photos in the Manage tab? Thanks for the help!

So . . . no reply? Not even a moderator? Is this forum active?

Re: IPTC Metadata Template
Decided to look into this, I don't think PSP has anything built in that does this. But once again scripting comes to the aid.
You might be able to record a script editing the Image Information in the Edit mode. Here is the basic idea
1) Open Image in Edit Mode
2) Hit record on script toolbar
3) From the menu select Image -> Image Information
4) Under the Creator tab fill in the information, there is an "Advanced" button which adds more information.
5) Save the script recording
You will need to save the image to keep the iPTC settings of course. But you don't want to record the opening or saving of the image inside the script.
You can then run this script as a batch process on several images at once using "Batch Process"
The values inside ImageInformation correspond to the following IPTC values in Manage Mode:
Image Information : IPTC - Area - Field
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Artist Name : Contact - Creator
Advanced - Headline : Content - Headline
Advanced - Description Writer : Content - Description Writer
Advanced - City : Image - City
Advanced - Province/State : Image - State/Province
Advanced - Country : Image - Country
Image Title : Status - Title
Advanced - Transmission Reference : Status - Job Identifier
Advanced - Instructions : Status - Instructions
Advanced - Credit : Status - Credit Line
Advanced - Source : Status - Source
Copyright : Copyright - Copyright notice
So, that's the information you can set for IPTC using scripts.
