Saving files as pspimage wont open in previous versions

Saving files as pspimage wont open in previous versions
Any files I save as PspImage in PSP 2018 wont open in any of my previous versions (X2, X7) "unable to open file Please verify the file is valid" jpg format open ok. Any ideas please?

When you go to Save As and choose .pspimage you will see an Options button. Click this and you can save the pspfile as compatible back to Jasc PSP5. Note however that anything introduced in later versions like Layer styles will not be compatible with some earlier versions of PSP.
