Now that Picasa is dead I need a program to clean up and print my photos. I've used Corel Paintshop on and off for years (dating back to the Jasc days). I've got X9 at work and 2018 at home.
Here's my problem. My mom has Alzheimer's and paper photos are the best way to keep some semblance of memories with her. I go on a trip and take about twenty photos. Now I need a way to auto-correct the photos, crop them to 4x6, and then print them all.
I can find my photos in "organizer" and then load them all in "Edit". From there I can enhance and crop. Now I have 20 photos ready for printing.
The only options I see are for either printing the current image or for printing a contact sheet. How do I tell the program to load all 20 photos so that the correct portrait or landscape mode is selected for each photo and every photo prints out?
Thanks

Use Window/Cascade mode and not Window/Tabbed document.
Load all portraits photos only.
Go to Print Layout and select your printer (I suppose you load paper in portrait mode).
Drag the first photo on the sheet.
Click Print.
Drag the next photo (no need to remove the previous) and click Print.
Etc.
When all portraits are printed (not possible to tell PSP doing it automatically IMHO), load the landscape images.
Drag the photo on the sheet and rotate it.
Etc.

Another way is to do it with the Windows print assistant which permits to print in bulk mode but you need to rotate your images first (you may do it in Windows Explorer).
Go to your folder.
Select all images to be printed.
RIGHT-click on one selected.
Print. All selected images will print in bulk...

Another way.
Use Irfanview - free program and print out prepared contact sheets.
I have prepared a folder containing 12 portrait and 12 landscape images. I open one of the images in Irfanview and then do File > Thumbnails.
I then use Control and left click to select the images of the same type that I want to print out on an A4 sheet of inkjet photographic paper. This image shows all the portrait images selected. I then use File > Create Contact sheet from selected files. Then I make sure that the sheet dimensions are the right way around (in proportion to the size of the A4 paper. So for portrait images it would read Width 880 and Height 1220. For Landscape images what is shown . I make sure that Image parameters reads 2 columns and 2 rows which will give 4 images approximately 6 x 4 on a sheet of A4 paper.
At the right bottom I can choose to create the first page only to see if it looks right, or Print all pages or Save all pages for later printing.
And this is the result of creating the first page for landscape images. I can manually rotate each image group to portrait mode and then print out . I then only have to cut the images using a guillotine to get 4 approximately 6 x 4 inch images. I have not checked out all the options but it may be possible to have it auto rotate the contact sheets to allow landscape images to be printed directly.
