Using the Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
With Feather set to zero, Opacity to 100 and Smart Blending ticked, I drew around the shed.
Image 1 After selecting the source mode button I positioned the rectangle
Image 2
. I clicked the Apply tick icon and got Image 3 as a result. What am I doing wrong or not doing ?

Re: Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
I have never used the Object Remover in PSP before and just tried it. I get bad results just like you did so I obviously don't know how it's supposed to work either.
However, If the idea is to remove the barn and fill the space with image data similar to what surrounds the barn then make a selection around the barn and quite close to the barn and hit the Magic Fill button near the left of the tool options bar. But because that such a large area you want to fill it's a process that you'll have to do in smaller steps than just one step, and which will likely have to include isolating parts of the image at a time to get an acceptable result and perhaps a bit of cloning also. Your posted image is way too small for me to experiment with, as well as containing the selection marquee which makes things even more difficult.

Re: Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
The Object remover tool is not adequate for your work.
The Object remover tool fills the area with a mixed pattern extracted from the selection rectangle (on the right). An example is removing a person standing in front of a wall. The Object remover tool will fill the removed person with a PATTERN (mixed) of the wall.
As JoeB says, you need better to use the Selection tool and click on Magic fill just after your selection :

As you see on my image, I obtain the result you want. No need to clone except a little to finish.
You need to try some different selections until it matches :

PS : you may use the Freehand selection too.

Re: Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
As Jean-Luc said, the placement, size and type of selection used affects the result of Magic Fill, so several attempts might be necessary. It's easy enough to do because you can make your selection, hit Magic Fill, and if not reasonably close to the result you want then just click Undo and try another selection. It shouldn't take much effort to get a Magic Fill that is at least very close to what Jean-Luc accomplished with perhaps a bit of distortion around the horizon line where the shed used to be. That would be a case where you might decide that a bit of judicious use of the clone tool might be more convenient for you to use than trying for a more perfect selection. Even with Jean-Luc's very good result a close inspection shows there is a slight jag in the dark horizon line just to the left of the treeline of the tall trees that Magic Fill placed where part of the shed was. That small distortion could easily be smoothed out or made less apparent with a bit of cloning or perhaps the Push tool.

Re: Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
I returned to my last image, made 3 selections, each time using Magic Fill which improved the situation .I then did a little bit of bit of cloning. I guess MF only gives good results when working with small areas. I realise the result I got is nowhere perfect but thanks to your help gentlemen I now have an idea what to do in future and things are not as easy as you see in Tutorials when they show work on small areas.

The Magic fill takes "samples" outside the selection and calculates some placement inside the selection.
This tools works better when you have a bigger image (tutorials are made on bigger images). You may work on a bigger image and reduce it after the job is done.
And remember, it is an automatic tool and automatic tools cannot do a better job than a human because images are all different.

Re: Oject Remover in PSPRo 2018
Have just been experimenting again with the magic fill. If I select just the part of the barn that is above the horizon line and then do a magic fill on that it creates a mish mash because the magic fill collects material from 360 degrees around the selection, so you finish with part of the lower barn replacing the upper part which you hope would only be replaced by sky. This had me wondering if it could be possible to limit the areas that the magic fill could select from.
So I did a rectangular selection of the upper part of the barn above the horizon and included as much sky area away from the trees as possible. Then promoted that selection to a layer and turnred off the visibility of the bottom layer. This leaves me with upper part of barn , sky and transparent areas below.
Turned off the rectangular selection Selections >Select None.
Now with freehand selection make a close selection of just the barn and then apply Magic Fill. Because none of the lower part of the barn is visible the Magic Fill is likited to replacing the barn top with only the sky that is visible. This seems to work OK and could then be applied to the lower selections of the barn and limiting the choices to whatever parts you wish by promoting the selection to layer and changing the visibility of what you don't want.
Can others test this and see if it works for them.
