Pan & Zoom

Fix it. It crashes when in use. It should have never been released as is. Fails in Windows 10 and Windows 7

You don't list the version of VS that you're using. In any event, I've used Pan&Zoom since X5 and it's not causing crashes and works in my experience. Pan&Zoom has a configuration issue in VS2018 but it's not related to crashing (see viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63601).

If you have an issue with Pan&Zoom causing crashing then you'd be better off contributing to the topic at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63585 rather than starting a new thread.

Fix what? You give no details at al except make general complaint. If you want help be more specific.

FWIW, Pan & Zoom works without crashing when I use it in Windows 7.

In animated mode when moving cross hair it may crash. VS 2018 latest rev. Since I can accomplish, through other means, what I want to do-no need for this aggravation.

I don't see this behaviour in VS2018.

I think what's happening is confusion between the FX filter Pan and Zoom item - been there a long time - and the newly introduced P&Z item in the timeline tool bar. there's also an old pan and zoom item available from the the options page for a selected photo image. The only new one is the 2018 P&Z inclusion in the timeline tool bar, and there's been quite a bit of discussion (separate threads in this forum) about it, not all happily.

So, pepegota, could you confirm which one is causing grief, and how?

Hi

The Pan & Zoom from the icon on the timeline tool bar and the options panel (double click the clip) are the same beast, at least they are supposed to be the same.
If you use the Icon, the options panel is also selected.
Try it!
Double click a clip to open options, click the Icon on tool bar, watch the options panel P&Z, becomes active.
The only way to remove the effect is from the Options panel by deselecting P&Z.

Yes it has been reported that these two seem a little different in their default views, so would be useful to know which is being selected, although i do not think it should be different.

There is another P&Z from the FX Filters, Video Pan & Zoom, now that is a different beast.

Pepegota
It is strange that you are having the same issues on two PC which could suggest a corrupt installation file.
Can you re-install the program
