Re: Copy from Clipboard
I had read pepegota's post as referring to dragging dropping clips or images from the Clipboard to the timeline or library window, which I don't think can be done in VS...

Re: Copy from Clipboard
You can copy and paste text - from notepad or Word - into the preview window for titles by using Ctl+V after selecting titles and double clicking in the window to get the flashing cursor
but like Ken i have never found a way to do it using clips or photos

Re: Copy from Clipboard
I did a work around with a jpg but, was looking for another flexible method. I took a photo of the text on a white background and then used chroma key to enter it.

Re: Copy from Clipboard
For text, like BrianCee, I too copy & paste from Word or Notepad.
What I tend to do is to set up the text clip in the position I want it, then select to edit it and paste in the text I would like to use from Word (mostly).
If the text style I'm looking for within VS then I'll play around until I have something, then I'll consider saving the new format as a favourite. This makes it easier to use at a later date to replicate something and to try to keep a style whether for the specific video or later videos.
There are some limitations to this method. The various titler plugins from Boris, NewBlue & proDAD need a lot more work. I'm still working on an easy way to have a picture instead of colours for the fill of the text within VS. The new 3D titler can do this, but with limited success. My best solution to date is to use a series of masks that I've created for each letter.
It's easy enough to increase or decrease the time for each text clip or reposition if required. You can also use the various transitions which are available for the text, duplicate it without transitions if you want to hold it for a little longer and add a new exit transition if required.
As for jpgs and video clips, I just drag and drop them if I don't want to place them in my media library. You can select multiple items if you want.
