VS ultimate2018 eventually crashes when customizing pan/zoom

Still having problems. The video type I am using is H.262 High Profile Video. 24 bits. 1920x1080 16:9 29.970 frames/sec. Data rate 29999kps. This example is a 25 MB file.
I have noticed that the project format is set to mobile, so I have changed this to MPEG-$ 1920x1080 as it seems a better match for the source files. Could this be relevant?

The project settings have not rectified the issue, and taking your advice, I've used the sample video as advised as a control test and the same symptoms: Go into the clip for P&Z using the icon on the toolbar. Make some changes. Ok out and the clip plays fine with the changes. However then try to go back in for a second time using the same method, and the there is a brief blue wheel and the the program crashes out to desktop.

Tried again to replicate this using both Mp4 and wmv samples and do not get any crashes.
I think you should re-install the program
First try resetting the program by renaming 21.0 to 21.0 old
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\21.0
Running the program will re-create that folder, takes a little longer to launch on first run.

If that does not help you should re-install the program
Use the Cleanup Tool to remove the program

The cleanup tool will not remove the personal data files so delete the 21.0 folder same as above
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\21.0

To install -- when you run the installer “VideoStudio_Install.exe” it should also download the latest Service Pack installing the newest version.

Thanks Trevor. I have now started to see some crashes outside of the pan and zoom function. One just now when playing back a project in the preview window and previously the app disappeared when I was working on something else. However with a close look in event viewer there is an application error appearing which I have posted in case it means anything to anyone! Looks like I need to try the reinstall next.
