Convert an image into vector

Is it possible to convert an image into vector? If you can do it, can you explain step by step how to do it?

Thanks

Michael

If you mean transform a graphic (or a photo) automatically in vector, PSP cannot do it.
Corel Draw has such possibility.
And I think you may find some softwares on the web...

If I may pop in, you can 'pseudo-perform' such a thing manually, by utilizing the Pen Tool and tracing your image by hand on a Vector Layer. Creating Vector elements in this way, you can create a 'vectorized version' of an image, as complicated as you wish, adding multiple vector layers/elements, as far as you want to go.

However, as far as simple conversion or an automated process of converting a bitmap to a vector, J.L. is correct, there is no such automated process in PSPro at this time.

GL with it if you want to try it manually though - I have tried this in the past with my own logos and had pretty good success (so I wanted to add this here, to possibly help others), HTH
