Paper size selection

Post by larschristian »

This seems to be a bug across different platform.
Im on ubuntu 17.10 with an epson et-2500 printer. I'm unable to print to 10x15 cm paper. Can't select it, or just doesnt register and falls back to what was previously selected. Tried everything.

Any solution to this. This is a MAJOR bug in my opinion, as printing is pretty damn important when it comes to photography software.

Have you had any luck with this? I raised a support ticket and they sent me a link to "About Image Size" in the help documentation. I sent them a rather snotty email back asking them to answer the question I asked which was, why can't I change paper size when printing. I'm of the opinion this is a deal breaker and if it can't be resolved I'd like my money back

Quick update - after a few days battling with support, who clearly couldn't or wouldn't resolve the issue, I asked for my money back. I recieved the usual - you can only claim your money back in the first 30 days. So I rather snottily pointed out that under UK law software has to be fit for purpose, and no reasonable person would consider photo editing software that can not print to photo paper fit for purpose, they have now refunded my money.

Uk law does say you can keep the software even if you recieve a refund - this is from the Citizens Advice article about it "If the company won’t fix the problem or are taking too long, you can ask for a refund. You can still keep the digital product even if you get your money back"

I'm not saying that everyone in the UK who bought this product should ask for their money back - but if enough people threaten it, they may actually get round to fixing the problem.

Hope this helps other who are having the same problem.

The print module in Aftershot is essentially useless. Never could print borderless .

Wow, I thought I was imagining things, not being able to print a single 4x6 image from Aftershot. You'd think after 3 1/2 years they'd do something about it.

The ease of editing photos is great and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the print process is a deal breaker, unless I am totally missing something. Please, Corel, I would really like this to work!

This is an edit from my original response. I previously couldn't figure out how to print onto a single 4x6 image on 4x6 paper, and appeared to have the same trouble as from the above posts from 3 1/2 years ago. There didn't seem to be any updates to this printing issue. However, I tried something and it worked. (My original response has been deleted because it seems to work now.)

I got this to work! But, not exactly intuitive. For those trying this out here's what I did to print a single 4x6 onto 4x6 paper:
1) Select File>Print as usual.
2) Select Print Layout to N-up, change Columns and Rows to 1 and 1.
3) Click on Print, then go to Preferences.
4) Change your paper size here, clock OK, then Print.

So AftershotPro may work out AfterAll!
