VS2018 Ultimate Vitascene not found in Transition tab

HI, I am old time VS user and just updated to 2018 version.

When it finish install the main program, initial opening of the program tried to install something (assuming its additional plug ins), it stopped at 3% FLIX.VFX... it simply froze thus I stop the process then re started the program and looks like its running fine but Its missing Vitascene in the transition tab.(Yes I see Vitascene in the FX).. Is there any way to let it re-install the plug-ins or manually initiate the install?

Welcome to the forum!

Does Adorage appear? It's made by the same company (proDAD) and comes with Vitascene.

Hopefully you will have kept the folder that the VS installation process creates on your desktop. In it you will find a sub-folder 64 Bit > Bonus Feature. That is where Adorage, Vitascene and other plug-ins are found (though those are the only two which have both transitions and FX). Run setup_Bonus again, and hopefully they will now be installed properly and fully.

Thanks Trevor -- I get that too. But both Adorage and Vitascene also appear under ALL in my Transitions library Window. I am assuming that since spacedof001 can't see Vitascene there, something has gone wrong, especially if he/she can see it in the FX window.

Thanks for the reply! I have found the folder to re-install the plug-ins and it successfully installed (so it stated..) However unfortunately Vitascene didn't show up in the transition tab as Iata has posted...
Only Adorage shows up in transitions tab under proDAD and
Adorage, Mercalli 2.0, Roto Pen, Script and Vitascene 2.0 in the FX tab under proDAD....

I have opened up the case with tech support so hope they can resolve this...
However, if you have some other suggestions, I appreciate them!

Can you try resetting the program by renaming the folder 21.0 to "21.0_old"
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\21.0

Please note there are two 21.0 folders within the program, it is the one within the "roaming folder" you need.

Thanks for the tip on resetting. I have found this initial process is where I have a problem with.
Every time I install/reinstall the program it will try to initialize it to create the folder, my process stops at 3% FLIX.VFX..
It froze there and won't advance. I kill the process, start the program, I see all the plug-ins but not Vitascene in the transition...

Do you have a file "vitascen.vfx" in C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\Vfx_plug? If so, then please try renaming the 21.0 folder as suggested by Trevor.

Hi, Ken,

Yes I do have that vfx file. I think on my system when it try to reset, it froze at the FLIP.VFX so I replaced that file from C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\Vfx_plug hope to see it will skip but it froze at some other vfx...
Don't know the sequence of installing these files but it may not be reaching to vitascene.vfx.

When you re- installed vitascene did you install the full pack or the individual vitascene, unsure from your reply.

can you try re-installing the Bonus Features in full , locate the folder and double click the “setup_Bonus.exe” file.

From your download program files.
\64bit\BonusFeature\setup_Bonus.exe

Once installed you may have to do a reset again, by renaming the 21.0 folder
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\21.0

Thanks both for the reply on this.
I have an update. The tech support stated it’s very common the system hangs when it attempts to re-initialize. It’s up to the PC to PC. He suggested to reset the program under safe mode.
So I haverename the folder as you suggested,
Went safe mode and open the program, this time it successfully installed the all .vfx files.
Then went back to normal boot to verify the vitascene in the both fx and transition!

Everything is working now thx
