Opening .HTML files with PaintShop Pro X8

Post by tophunter »

Is there any way of opening .HTML graphics files with PaintShop Pro X8. Can they be converted to another file extension first? If so, how? I have tried right-clicking on the file icons and opening with Google but nothing appears. Help!

.HTML is not an image file extension. So, without more detail, I have no idea exactly what you are asking about.

You can embed graphics/images in .html pages, and use tags like <svg> and <canvas> to draw graphics with html coding, but that is simply html code and not an image file format as such.

So you will have to be much more specific about what you are trying to do. Posting an attachment or a link to whatever you are trying to open with PSP would help.

That said, if you are asking about images embedded in a web page (an html page) that you are viewing in your web browser, then you can right-click on the image and choose "Save picture as..." from the context menu that opens. Browse to a folder in which you would like to save the image, save it, and then you can open the image in PSP.

You may open a .html file with your Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
When the file is displayed, right-click on each image you want extract and save it as .PNG file
Open the .PNG in PSP X8.

If you have a htm file it is usually associated with a like named folder containing all the images referenced by the htm code. You can just open that folder and move / open the images in PSP.
