Please help I get the following error code when I try to write the disc

Failed in performing power calibration
error DVDR-INC-SPTI-2A-02-03-73-03

Any ideas ??

I don't know what's going on with that error but do you think it has something to do with your burner's firmware? Why don't you try updating your burner's firmware. ^_^

The drive and the blank DVD aren't "getting along". It could be the firmware, or just a bad or incompatible DVD.

If you've already tried another DVD, try another brand.

Heres what's going on...
Before the drive starts writing real data, it writes some test data at various laser-power levels, and "calibrates" the laser power for that particular DVD. In this case, the firmware cannot find a good power setting.
