VS 2018 bug?

Anyone else having this problem with VS 2018? I want to change the photo duration of about 20 consecutive slides. I highlight them all in the timeline using the shift key, right click, and "change photo duration" is grayed out. In the Edit window it says that "no clips or multiple clips are selected, please select a clip you want to edit". The slides are all clearly selected, all outlined in orange. I tried moving them to an overlay track, still can't change duration all at once. They move as a group, but I can't edit as a group. I don't remember this being a problem in X10 but it's uninstalled now so I can't check.

Do you have 'Ripple editing' enabled on any track ? - if yes then VS is unable to maintain the status quo between your clips and the others and therefore refuses to change image duration's - you need to cancel ripple editing - but then you need to rearrange the other tracks manually after making changes
