Hi folks! First post!
I've been using and enjoying PSP for more than 20 years now, ever since my first shareware copy of 3.1, but there's something in PSP 2018 that has me flummoxed.
I'm trying to use Flood Fill to fill an empty raster layer with the Zebra Stripe pattern, but I only get a layer full of these little dots a quarter inch apart that only form zebra stripes if you squint.
The program seems to be trying to do some color replacer thing instead of an actual flood fill. I've tried changing Match Mode and Tolerance values, but nothing seems to work.
Just for fun, I tried using the Paint Brush tool with Zebra Stripes selected in the Materials palette, but I get the same dots effect.
Can anybody tell me WTF is going on? I've used Flood Fill hundreds of times in other versions over the years, but I've never seen anything like this. HELP please!
Thanks in advance ...

Re: Flood Fill Patterns in PSP 2018
First of all I cannot find a pattern labelled Zebra Stripe. Or do you mean the pattern labelled Animal Zebra?
When you choose the pattern what is the scale setting , you might have the scale set too high.
Also do you have a texture chosen at the same time?
Have you tried another pattern eg try the bugs pattern to see if that is working.

I didn't look at the label, I was just describing it. But yes, I see now that it's called Animal Zebra.hartpaul wrote:First of all I cannot find a pattern labelled Zebra Stripe. Or do you mean the pattern labelled Animal Zebra?

I tried adjusting the scale setting. And yes, I tried other patterns -- I was going to mention that part but I forgot, sorry.
Anyway, LeviFiction said to turn off Textures, and that worked.
Thanks for trying anyway!

That worked, thank you much!LeviFiction wrote:Turn off textures.
(I thought I replied to this a couple of days ago, but I guess it didn't take, sorry!)
