UI Layout for VideoStudio 2018 Still Resets After Update

Imagine someone shoving things off your desk each time you sit down to work on a project; just so we're in the same headspace here.

I've used all three of the UI Layout save spots, but they don't load after it resets from SETTINGS>LAYOUT SETTINGS, but DO work from SETTINGS>PREFERENCES>UI LAYOUT. Even so, neither of these should be an issue right?

This is definitely the frustration talking. I have VS2018 Ultimate fully updated to 21.2.0.113. It's swapping my preview window to the other side nearly every time I startup or go to edit a track in the timeline after loading a saved project. From what I can tell, the SHOW LIBRARY/SHOW LIBRARY AND OPTIONS PANEL/SHOW OPTIONS PANEL toggle seems to be really screwing with the layout in general, maybe layouts are saving to each of these panels individually instead of using a universal setup? I'm not knowledgeable in this, just QUITE frustrated and hoping for a solution, or at least a workaround.

Another suggestion: have it come with its own presets if we can't reliably customize it please?

The correct layout settings selected will display if when you open VS 2018, you open to the Welcome Book then select the Edit Screen, most users open directly to the Edit Screen, this issue has been raised with R & D and we were hoping for a fix with SP2.

You say that if you set your layout settings from Settings/Preferences/UI Layout the correct layout displays, not sure how you manage to achieve that as when you select the UI layout from Settings/Layout Settings/Switch to, the same selection automatically displays in Settings/Preferences

I can also confirm that this has not fixed in SP2. I always open VS2018 in Edit mode and despite being set in both Preferences and Layout Settings to Custom 1 or Custom 2 it always displays the default setting. I have to select default then back to Custom 1 or 2 to change it. SP2 downloaded and installed a considerable amount of files to update to 21.2.0.113 and this was supposedly fixed according to the SP2 list of fixes.

I have the same issue, even with SP2 that doesn't fix it. 64bit Ultimate here, too.

I really don't want to load to the welcome screen just to have my custom layout loaded. If that's the official solution to that issue... really don't know what to think of Corel. Lazy updates, little improvements with each upgrade, ...

As well as not being able to save custom UI layouts, I don't think anyone has mentioned that the video preview window on the "Share" tab also loses its size settings every time you start VS or even just switch between tabs. It always remembered the settings in previous versions. I assume that this is part of the same problem and will be fixed in the next update. Well I hope so, anyway.
