I'm using Corel VideoStudio X10 and try to upload a file from Samsung S9+. Video is saved in UHD format 30fps. All videos have green line at bottom. I've found only some info about PinacleStudio and YouTube. Am I first person with this problem ? There is no difference if hardware acceleration is switched off or on.
Is any solution to resolve this problem ?

Yes, known and demonstrated in X10 and 2018. Odd thing is the HD switch (located below the Preview Pane, available in Project mode, not Clip mode, next to the System Volume icon) toggles that green line On/Off.
The "Green Line" isn't just a green line, it is the encoding data in the horizontal overscan portion of a video signal. During broadcast playback the data line is supposed to be hidden outside of the overscan limits. but the preview pane video signal is not providing the proper overscan limit or it is superimposing the data line over the normally visable video signal.
It should not show up in a render output. Have you rendered and viewed the output?

I get it in the rendered output (which of course is quite problematic). Still trying to troubleshoot

Oh no you are not the only one to see the green line, most of my Canon mov files showed the line as does many MP4 types.
The last version not to show the green line was X7 so its been about for a while.
I do believe that Corel have fixed the problem with 2019 as a few tests look favourable.
I doubt there will any updates to fix this using X10 or 2018.
As for X10 in addition to selecting the HD option, setting your Project Properties to use 4K 3840 x 2160 also seems to remove the line.

The green line should only show when using Video Studio, are you saying it is showing when playing the rendered video with your media players.

Yep - seeing the Green Line after having rendered to MP4 with HEVC/H.265 12Mbps, 3840x2160p, 29.97 fps
Playback is from MP4 file on USB stick, using Roku media player. Not only the green line, but also some poor color rendering in other parts of the scene
Now that said, the scene is a timelapse (File-> Insert Media File to Timeline -> Insert Photo for Time-lapse/Strobe) so I dont know if that is the cause
I am doing more testing now

Re: Green line at botom video after upload file from Samsung
I can confirm that the green bar is definitely at the bottom of my rendered output (MP4 with HEVC/H.265 12Mbps, 3840x2160p, 29.97 fps), and also some serious color separation (orange shadows where there shouldn't be any) when played from:
* Roku 4400 Media Player, files on USB stick
* Vizio 4K TV, USB Stick
The PC using VLC does not show green bar but does show the orange shadows
Of course Plex will not play MP4 HEVC with AAC audio (see another thread where I am trying to get AC3 audio into the MP4)
The PC plays the file fine without green bars or color separation when rendered with H.264. But then many players (Roku, Vizio, etc) won't play that
I guess I can try upgrading to VS 2019 in Free Eval mode and see if the prob goes away before I shell out the bucks...

Re: Green line at botom video after upload file from Samsung
I am happy to report that upgrading to VS 2019 solved the "green bar" problem, which I was having not only in the Clip preview but also in the rendered output.
I am sure I will face new challenges with 2019 but for now life is all good with 2019.
Thanks again
Dean
