Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
I don't know what it includes, but it doesn't ask where to download it (at least it didn't for me on Windows 10). I clicked the "update now" button and nothing happened.
Then I got a Windows 10 notification that the Videostudio 2018 update was ready to install, so I clicked on the notification. Once that was finished, then the normal update screen showed up and it updated.
I rustled around in the temp folders because I always keep backups of all updates--if you're looking for it (after you're finished with the update), the SP2 patch can be found here so you can copy it:
C:\Users\"YourUserName"\AppData\Local\Corel and it named VS2018_SP2

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
It hasn't yet appeared on videostudiopro.com which is where the features list will be posted. But I got it from Check for Updates in VS 2018 itself and everything proceeded as imaref indicated.
I'm asking Corel when it will appear on their website.

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
SP2 is available via in-app messaging (or Help->Check for Updates). It's also available in the installer, as a checkbox.
Fixed in this release:
Aspect ratio problems with 9:16 project + FastFlick
Add a title, insert as 360, change aspect ratio - text will be truncated in 360 playback
Program crashes during render
Custom UI layout and save it, should be selected as default when open again
Add a folder in Title tab, defaults to 3D Title directory
Column should not show selected status, while sorted in the Library List View
HTML project, correct track not always shown on top
Remove the title safe frame from preview window
Audio should not have crop and scale mode
Crop should be the last filter applied
Slow to launch, or fails to launch and remains in Task Manager
In list view, "Date", "Duration" etc columns don't sort correctly
Split Screen editor 3-5s for first launch, no progress bar
UI problems, UEIP in Japanese installation
Stop Motion crashes when plugging in a new camera
Color correction, white balance drop down menu won't expand
Flashes when add some filters to TL, then preview in "Customize Filter" dialog
Chapter point - Double click chapter point, can't rename
Missing ProDAD effects
With overlay track color effect, UI problems in filter list
Trial: Help->About displays as Ultimate, no indication of Trial
Split Screen: wrong shape is drawn
Title creation does not open options panel
Crash when "Insert as 360" with Samsung Gear 360 clips
Conflict with CyberLink Power Director
Second upload to YouTube will fail with connection error message
If the project is 360, set 360 profile by default when sharing online
Add one frame 'Nudge' to MCE (Alt + Left/Right arrow)
Trims with mark in/out sliders are lost, after VS is closed
360 filter is removed when replacing a clip in the saved 360 project
3D Titler adding frames with each re-edit; if a transition follows, a gap is created
3D Titler won't open a second time, if a legacy title is on the same track
Fixed folder names change to numbers, if user-made folders are rearranged

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
Nick,
Thanks for the detail re update content.
My experience was as others have indicated. And I think you have a 'situation' with sp2 that some would call a bug: circumstances highly likely to inspire a user reaction that causes a failure. For every user . . .
- it's a laarrrgggge file : many minutes download time @10mbps (actual)
- unlike prior versions, when an update is downloading there is no message or indication of that in the user interface. It just looks like nothing has happened (prior comments on this). Possibly a side effect of the new UI in this version. Having read those comments, I noted the non-response in the VS UI , but being able to see the activity lights (hammering long, indicating download) on my local LAN switch, I waited it out.
- even when the activity ie download was finished (lights out) nothing happened in the UI. So I closed VS. Still nothing re windows messaging about an update ready to install.
- opened VS again, and when the UI has stabilised, THEN the message about an update ready to install appeared. Clicked OK. And the process was as previously experienced with prior versions - when it was ready and VS running, told me to close VS and I did. Install completed OK.
This is going to affect every VS user - those who have prior versions, will expect a similar performance particularly the messaging about downloading and then close VS and install; and for those new to VS, the huge gap between choosing update and the action panels to do it (no indication of download at all) it's going to look a failure of the software, they will probably try to do it again or do something else to kick it in the bum to get going. Bear in mind that sp1 came with the release code so the delays in getting and installing it won't have been apparent.

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
I selected "Help/Check for Updates" but, the screen I get does nothing. It says" you can continue to use the program while it is downloading. Nothing happens. I still have the .89 version. A screen just popped up asking to install the update and I did but, this is totally irrational.

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
Fixing a poor update process is going to be interesting in the execution: an update with the fix would look like the existing one: no indication of download, and install hinky start. If it's just that - small - maybe the download would be fast enough to not matter, but if it's buried in a larger update, then the same issues are going to be apparent.

I just installed the update. Also received the notification. Worked like a charm. All good (so far).

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
After I read the thread about removing the title safe frame in 2018 sp2 today, I checked the support site for patches to VS2018, 13 April. I was looking for the change description usually attached to SP's. Still nothing for 2018 posted there: VS2018 isn't even listed yet, despite 2 service packs released. A dropped ball somewhere?
I particularly liked the comprehensive change list Glus posted for sp2 in this thread. Five stars for that
I reckon quite a few of those items would get lost in a 'summary', and strongly suggest that summary posts for SP changes include a link to a comprehensive list that can be read and printed if needed.

Re: VS 2018 Update / 21.2.0.113
Thanks Glus.
Still two fixes missing from the list
1/ removing the "unable to load corrupt clip" message which randomly appears if dragging a clip to the timeline
2/ the absence of options to render a 10 bit 4:2:2 video when a 10 bit 4:2:2 video is added to the timeline
