Error 1904 with XI Install

My computer died, and I had to replace everything with a new machine. I’m trying to install Paint Shop Pro PHOTO XI (11.2) and I get this error…

Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Corel\PSPThumbShellExt\PSPThumbShellExt.dll failed to register. HRESULT -1073740791. Contact your support personnel.

If I click ignore, the application indicates everything installed okay, but when I click to open PSP XI I get a ‘Not Responding’ and I must force close from Task Manager.

I searched and did not find a fix that allowed the application to install correctly. I tried the manually registering the driver (PSPThumbShellExt.dll) and installed using Administrator Rights and the application will not start.

I’ve installed the application using Windows 10 on my previous install and I never had this issue.

I realize the software is from 2006, but I don't have the extra money to upgrade to the 2018 edition.

Do you have any further suggestions?
