JoeB my issue was with sending a tiff with transparency to PSP from Photoline. PSP sent it back to Photoline with issues with the transparent areas. I tried, from within PSP, saving as png and then opening the png as a layer in Photoline. Each time there was an issue with the transparency. I concluded that PSP was doing something 'strange' so I quit using PSP with anything that included transparencies. Nothing conclusive but under some circumstances PSP 'plays' with transparencies. Maybe it's the same issue. Look for something else you may have changed in PSP.

Re: png not transparent in email
Thanks for the clarification about it also being a transparency issue and not just a degradation issue. When I get a bit of free time I'll try remember if anything else in my PSP versions have changed. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything at all that has changed with PSP since the last time I save properly as transparent PNG. And Leslie can't either. But, as I told her in a post, there has to be something. Just what that something is is the mystery.bruce1951 wrote:JoeB my issue was with sending a tiff with transparency to PSP from Photoline. Re: png not transparent in email
I'm running 2018.
So it's happening in a lot of versions.
My transparency works when I send in Thunderbird, but not in Win Live Mail.
This is so weird.

Re: png not transparent in email
My new problem has nothing to do with trying to send a transparent .png by email. I suddenly can't even save the transparency in PSP.Leslie wrote:I'm running 2018.
