I just upgraded to PSP2018 from PSPX9.
On PSPX9 at the top towards the right is a drop down menu window to Select Script with a very large choice but I needed to select Batch Resize.
Then I went to the "File" at the top LH side and carried on the rest of the process after selecting "Batch Process" and then the 100 photos were all resized to 1200 along the longest side and put into a new file ready to email to a Facebook page or a website etc etc.
I am sure it was Levi Fiction who was so very helpful to me and gave me the actual Script I needed to put on my system to resize a batch of photos. I seem to remember that there were some video instructions as well.
I searched for this conversation but couldn't find it.
Now with PSP2018 there is no Batch Resize option so I cannot carry out that function.
Also, I have lost the info I would need if I had to re-enter the Script into PSP2018.
However, when I click on the Edit Selected Script it shows the Batch resize script in Notepad form.
Also there is a Restore Database function that came with PSP2018 but I am unsure what this will do to PSP2018 ie will it transfer the Batch Resize Script from PSPX9 to PSP2018?
Are you there Levi?
Thanks.

Re: Batch Resize Script in PSP2018
Scripts in previous installs of PSP like X9 are located in
C:\users\YourUserName\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\X9\Scripts-Restricted
or
C:\users\YourUserName\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\X9\Scripts-Trusted
I don't think a resize script needs to be in Scripts-Trusted so I'm guessing it's in the Scripts-Restricted folder.
Just copy the file over to the 2018 Scripts-Restricted folder and you should have access to it inside PSP 2018.
However, you don't need that script in PSP anymore. X9 and 2018 for sure have a much improved Batch Process, they allow you to define commands like resize as part of the batch. No need for using scripts. And, with the addition of "By side" resizing you can specify the new Width Or Height or LongSide or ShortSide and PSP will do the rest of the work for you.
You can also save this batch process for re-use later.

Thanks so much Levi, but where can I find this "By Side" resizing option please?

Re: Batch Resize Script in PSP2018
Levi,
OK, well it worked the first time but when I go to do a batch resize now I have a new problem.
It is easy to choose the Destination Folder.
But when it comes to the NEW File Name the box is empty and I don't know how to fill it up.
In the previous system there was a new File Name in there with an added "R" for Resize at the end.
But now the box is empty and I don't know what to do.
Any ideas please?

Re: Batch Resize Script in PSP2018
There is a button next to filename that says "modify" click this button.
In the Rename options select "Doucment Name" and hit the Add button
Then select "Custom text" and hit the Add Button.
With Custom Text selected in the right-hand box type "R" in the text box. You'll see the new filename will be your filename + R. The example will say "DocumentName-R" but that means it'll take the current name and add R to it. Youc an also use any other naming combination, but this is specifically to get R added to the name.
