VSX9 freezing for a 1min when switching to Share window
My VS X9 freezes more than for a 1 minute when I go to the share tab. (It takes more then a minute to open share window after I actually hit that tab)
It does not metter if I have any clip on the time line.
I reinstalled app and it did not solve my issue.
I have installed all updates and servicepacks.
I run it on Win10. OS and app are both on ssd.
I have i5-3570K with 16GB, I thing it should not be an issue.
About page says: Corel Video Studio 19.7.0.12 (64bit Ultimate)
Please help.

VS is slow after installation when lots of things are built up, but it should work swiftly after that. If this behavior is new after a long time installed, then something is wrong and I don't know what it is. Your pc and memory and SSD should run X9 just fine.
How long has X9 been installed and have you used it for awhile?

Re: VSX9 freezing for a 1min when switching to Share window
That error log with the Qtxxx item suggests a quicktime issue. Specifically, that VS is making a call to quicktime (probably a codec) and it's not there.
The Quicktime player has been unsupported for 2 years (because Apple decided not to fix security issues in the player software), and not included with VS installs for that long. But the codecs that come with it are still essential for editing .mov video clips, and are not a security issue in themselves. That .mov format is a common - almost standard - one for cameras, and the codecs need to be installed. So if this issue has appeared only since you started editing clips from a new camera, maybe you don't have those codecs on your PC. There is a detailed description on 'how to' install the QT codecs in the forum (have not been able to find it on a quick search) and there is a YT tutorial on it as well.

Re: VSX9 freezing for a 1min when switching to Share window
Essentially, to download just the QT .mov codec, go to https://support.apple.com/kb/DL837?view ... cale=en_US Ignore the warning about Apple no longer supporting QT for Windows, and download Quicktime 7.7.9 for Windows by pressing the Download button at the top. Once downloaded, start the installation process. But in the dialogue box which appears make sure only QuickTime Essentials is active and all the other options below it have an X. Then install just the Essentials, which will give you just the codec.

Thanks for your answers.
I renamed that file, app cannot see it and it solved the issue temporary. I don't work with mov files now. My camera output is mp4 and I render ro mp4.
I'll come home in the evening and will try to install QT to see if it helps.

Re: VSX9 freezing for a 1min when switching to Share window
Let us know what happens. Just bear in mind something about .mov files. The extension .mov is just what is called a wrapper format -- that is, it can wrap a variety of formats with fairly distinct properties, and still call everything .mov. The most common format it wraps these days is in fact .mp4... So having the .mov codec on your computer could still serve a purpose, even when you don't consciously use .mov files any more.

thank you very much.
It helped to solve my issue. I've renamed qtBridge.exe file back to its origin name and installed QT Essentials. Works well now.
