Re: Blinking video
To figure this out, we need much more details. Like properties of the original video and properties of your rendere#d video.
It can also be that your pc can't play the video smoothly.

Re: Blinking video
My project has a mp4 video and a mp3 audio. I have rendered the project to both mp4 and wmv and it happens in both. I have no problem playing other video on my computer. I appreciate any help.

Re: Blinking video
Can you please right click on the mp4 file in the Video Studio timeline, and copy ALL its Properties here, or take a screen shot of the Properties box and upload it here as an attachment. That will give us the details we need.
In addition, can you convert the mp3 file into standard .wav format and try that. Video Studio has trouble with some mp3 files, especially if they have been made with the LAMEmp3 codec...

Re: Blinking video
the video properties are: File format: MPEG File; file size: 97.1MB, duration: 884.269 seconds; video type: H.264 Baseline Profile Video; Total frames: 26.796; attributes: 24 bits, 1280 x 720, 16.9; Frame rate: 30.303 frames/sec; data rate 921 kbps. I made the video in PowerPoint.
The audio properties are: File format: MP3 Audio files; file size: 12.1MB; duration: 924.216 seconds; Audio type: MPEG Audio Layer 3 Files; Total samples: 44,362,368 samples; attributes: 48000Hz, 16 Bit Joint stereo; Layer: 3; Bit rate: 110 kbps.
Is this the correct information? I am new at using Corel Video Suite. What are the best video and audio file types to render into a movie? I will try the .wav format if I can't get this to work properly.
I appreciate your help!

Re: Blinking video
That frame rate is very non-standard and not sure how VS will handle it. This alone may explain the output rendered video blinking that you see. Can VS allow you to render the same as the first video?
Since you created the video using PowerPoint, why don't you pick a more standard frame rate?
When you rendered, which mp4 did you select? What frame rate mp4 to be specific?

Re: Blinking video
I am very new to Corel VS. In PowerPoint, the only option format is mp4 or wmv. in three sizes: Full HD (1080p), 1920x1080; HD(720p)1280x720; and standard (480p), 852x480. I chose HD. What is a standard frame rate?

Re: Blinking video
Look at the render options for standard frame rate options. Doesn't PowerPoint list frame rates options? Another idea is to convert the video out of PowerPoint to a standard one using a program like Format Factory. One more idea is to get photo files out of PowerPoint and assemble your video in VS using the photo files.lollydan wrote:I am very new to Corel VS. Re: Blinking video
There is no option in PowerPoint for frame rate options. Should I use the standard size of 480p? mp4? I am not familiar with Format Factory.

Re: Blinking video
No, no 480,
Try to output to WMV, at highest quality you have
I prefer that over MP4 any time.
** I don't think that PP output silk smooth video anyhow.
