Not using Disc Templates, then what?

Post by dav »

Ok, I searched the manual but didnt find the answer to the question:
Of course I could have missed it right under my nose, that would be par
for the course...

If using compliant MPEG-2 files, and NOT using Disc Templates, just what
bitrate parameters, etc are being used in the authoring process?

Is the DVD written with the same properties quality/ bitrate. etc as the MPEG was created with? My DVDs have been coming out pretty good and
using bitrates from 4000 to 6500bps for the most part so this is what I am assuming but if any of you gurus out there can enlighten me further, hey thats what I registered here for, More Knowledge!

Anything needing encoding will be done at the project settings, unless you specify otherwise, not at the bitrate of the pre-encoded video files.
