Hang when I try and browse a path

I am still on X8 Pro
Just like in above thread - but its an old thread, so not going to open it up in there.
1. I could completely re-install, but based on how long it took and how it failed many times over for me, not keen to go that route. Has anyone got any wisdom on how to get back up and working. I renamed my
C:\Users\conradb\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\18.0
folder to
C:\Users\conradb\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\18.0_old
and re-started, but still hangs on the import of open4.vfx
The only thing not working is the "Paths" button, FX and transitions are working just fine.

instead, I only deleted the "paths" folder inside there - sorted it out!
