$29.99 special - international transaction fee?

Post by imaref »

So I took advantage of the $29.99 special to upgrade to Videostudio 2018 (good deal, by the way). A couple of things happened:

1. Got a text from my bank to make sure it was a legitimate charge as the vendor was in Latvia.

2. Also got an "international transaction fee" for .90 cents.

3. Got it downloaded/installed with no problem but it was not showing up in my Corel account under my registered software. Tried to register it--said it was already registered. I had to email support in order to get it registered.

Did anybody else see an "international transaction fee"?

I think you will find it is a bank fee. I get that all the time from my own bank when I make international purchases in a currency other than my own. So if, say, you live in the Euro zone but bought VS at its US$ price, the bank charges a fee to do the exchange calculation. Not nice, but very common.

Wow! I never got that offer! I get the $65 upgrade offer a lot in email.
Glad you got the software registered.
