Hi,
I am somewhat new to VideoStudio and am stumped. I had a video created for my Facebook business page (cover video) that WAS designed to the correct dimensions. One day, it suddenly was gone from my page.
I have learned that Facebook (once again) changed the size of the cover video. This has left me with a video it won't let me upload again because it's not the size they now want. I bring the video into VideoStudio 10 and have read about Attributes/Distort Clip but I see nowhere where I can tell it what size I need this video output as.
I am sure there won't be much distortion (if any) but I have to have this file output at 820 x 462 pixels. I see the yellow boxes I can move in and out but where can I say "Take this and output it as 820 x 462"? It would cost me a fortune to go back to the video creator and ask them to do it over. There has to be a way Video Studio can do this I'm missing.
Thanks!

Why not just convert it to that size.
I'm fond of this convertor

Thanks very much. However, I downloaded that software and see no where to tell it the exact custom size I need (it only offers about 4-6 set ones) and all the help is not in English.
Can you tell it "Make this clip 820 x 462"? If I could edit the size dropdown I'd be all set but see no way to do it and can't read the help section. LOL
Thanks!

Use crop filter. It takes some learning, but I think it will accomplish what you want.

Re: Resizing Video to EXACT dimensions in VideoStudio 10?
Hi
If Facebook stipulate using 820 x 462 what type of video do they need, Mov, Mp4, Mpeg?
I would have thought that the size would be a maximum and not specific.
As 820 x 462 is practically 16:9 you could render your project to 640 x 360, also 16:9
You should be able to choose a few formats, mp4, Mov, etc
The above would be preferable
However Video Studio will allow you to set the project properties to 820 x 462 using AVi
Are you sure that
Microsoft AVI files
8 bits, 820 x 462, 25 or 30fps
Frame-based
Microsoft Video 1
Interleave audio for every 15 frames
15 Key frame rate:, 75% Quality
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
Then allow you to render to 820 x 462……
QuickTime Movie Files
24 bits, 820 x 462, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264
50% Quality, 24 Key Frame Rate
None, 48.000 KHz, 16 bits, Stereo
But as I say better to use 640 x 360
I would check on the video size that Facebook needs

Trevor, I do not do facebook, but if they stick to 820 x 462 than maybe 640X360 will be blown up to 820 x 462 and that is not good.
