Cropping directly in library

Just started using 2018 Ultimate. I have a library of music clips that I spent hours this morning cropping directly in the library. Just opened VS again and it didn't save any of them! I used to be able to do this directly in the library in x9. I've done another test and it doesn't seem to be working when cropping clips in the library. If you drag the clip to timeline, crop it, then move it back to library it seems to be ok. Has anyone else had this problem? I've just submitted a ticket with support.

Will you please describe a little more what you mean by "Cropping in Library?"

Do you mean, using the mark-in/out sliders below the preview window to trim the start and end points of the audio clip?

Yes, shortening the clip so I just have one line of the song, using the mark in/out sliders.

FWIW, I also assumed you meant doing that while the clip is still in the library window, rather than having been dragged into the timeline and cropped there...

Yes Ken that is what I meant, cropping it while it's still in the library, but it doesn't save it like it did in previous versions.
