burned DVD gets stuck during playback
I've been trying to burn a dvd with 3 titles 3 separate times now. Every time I play the finished dvd it gets stuck in the 2nd title (at 28 min first dvd) and won't continue. I thought my rendered file might have a bad spot so I re-rendered it, but then it stopped at 22 min. I've tried combining parts of different renders to try to cut out the spot where the dvd stops, but again it failed at 22 min. My video files play fine so I can't figure out why it keeps happening.

Re: burned DVD gets stuck during playback
Have you first converted your project into a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 before even opening the burning module, and then inserted that in the burning module to produce the disc? Or have you finished editing and gone immediately to Share > DVD? If you are doing this, then I suggest you try the former.
The other thing you could do would be to produce an ISO file on the final page of the burning module instead of choosing an actual disc. You can then play it in the freeware VLC player to make sure everything is OK. And if so, you can then burn the ISO to an actual DVD using the ISO tool that comes with VS or other burning programs like Nero, Roxio or the freeware ImgBurn.

Re: burned DVD gets stuck during playback
Yes I always convert to mpeg-2 before opening burn module.
I did try making an ISO just now and it worked fine. I then made a DVD from the ISO that also works fine. I don't know why it kept creating a hiccup in the burning module's DVD. I literally took the same files, menu, etc. to make the ISO. Why would one work, but not the other? I've never had this be a problem. Should I always use the ISO route?

A lot of us do because it allows us to check everything looks OK before committing it to disc. And thus it also avoids making too many drink coasters!Colleen wrote:Should I always use the ISO route?
