Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
Hi, I am running win 10 and use PSP 2018. When I tried to use Balls & Bubbles my psp froze.
PSP did the same in X9.
I had to go back to X7 to get it to work.
Very annoying.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks,
Leslie

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
Works fine for me in both 32bit and 64bit PSP2018. I can't imagine why it would work for you in X7 but not X9 or 2018.

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
Funny, Joe
Do the balls and bubbles interact with any of the psp files? Like do you need something in environments folder?

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
Leslie which version of Windows 10 do you have? I have 1607, 1703 and 1709 and can test on each of those to see if I can duplicate your problem.
No problems on Win 10 1607 with PSP 2018 version 20.00.132 nor 20.2.0.1

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
No problems for me on Win 10 1709. And while the effect does use Environment Maps and Bump Maps if you turn them on, it does not appear to require them at all. I renamed the Corel_02 and Corel_05 folders (bump map, and environment map) so that Corel couldn't find them. Then cleared the caches and restarted the program. The command worked just fine without them. And I'm assuming you've tried the tired old "Reset the program" fix right?

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
I was trying to avoid the reset option. I have so many file locations it would take me days to redo them. I'd rather live with the aggravation than have to do all that work again.

I feel your pain when it comes to file locations. Maybe try a less drastic reset by using File -> Preferences -> Reset Preferences and leave File Locations unchecked.Leslie wrote:I was trying to avoid the reset option. That's a great idea.
Question, tho, will it wipe out my custom workspaces?

Be very safe & save your Workspaces to a separate drive (flash, thumb etc...) before making any potentially hazardous changes.

I'll copy them to a separate file. That should do it, right?
Well, I reset general preferences to no avail. *sigh*

Re: Balls & Bubbles Shuts down PSP
Yes, you can save a copy of your workspaces to any folder on any drive you want (except, of course, the PSP folder they're saved in) and then copy them back to the PSP folder after doing a reset or a reinstall.Leslie wrote:I'll copy them to a separate file. That should do it, right?
