Hi Ken,
When I first began my DVD collection I quickly got my hands on some
of the movie greats; Cagney, Bogart, Pat O’Brien, Maureen O'Hara just to
name a few but one day I realized all that I had missed in the real stories
of the War Years by the people who made them. That was the start of it all.
Today my collection numbers in the hundreds. Regular jackets and cases have
long since left the scene. Today I use what the younger people call wallets. They
protect very well and allow for easy transportation.
As for Mr. Churchill; I have copies of just about all of his speeches including his
address to our congress as well as his famous; “We Shall Never Surrender” speech.
He was one of the most astonishing characters of the war. As for his features. also a
bit short, I understand he laughed about them. Once at a press conference with FDR,
one of the news men yelled that they could not see him well. FDR fixed that problem,
he told Winnie to stand on the table……………………………he did; much to the delight
of the press and everyone else in the room.

Hi Ken,
It would seem that Mr. Churchill had a sense of humor about
his physical short comings. On one visit here in the USA at a
press conference, a reporter yelled out that they could not see the PM
to take more pictures of him. FDR fixed that immediately by asking
Mr, Churchill to stand on the table! Mr. Churchill laughing complied.
Apparently the two remained close friends until FDR’s passing. It was
said there was more than two thousand written messages passing between
them.
