Video Studios!!!

I have a problem with in one of my computers.
I had to change the hard disc and installed again Windows 7 legal.
I have Video Studio X4X5/X8/X10. (programmes bought from Corel)
I have tried, installed all of them separately, but none of them works.
In the other computer X8 and X10 work perfectly. (I have not tried the older versions) The other computer has Windows 8.1.
Any suggestions?

Can you give us a little more information Alfons? When you say they don't work, does nothing happen at all? Or do you get an error message? If so, what does it say? Or do you get a splash screen and then nothing? Or does the program open but not then work or crash?

Nothing happen at all. It tries but nothing opens. Not even an error message.
I have look at help in Corel and they suggest to install a few things. Like Framework, etc.
I will try.

I talked to Corel Technical service and they sent my a link to download again Video Studio X10.
I have installed but none of the programmes with in Video Studio open!!! I have the icons in the desktop.
Perhaps is something to do with my windows7?

Are you saying that you can now launch / run the program, but you are unable to open your project files?

Once the program is running, go to File Open Project and choose your project file, it will be a Video Studio Document file having a VSP extension.

When you say “I have icons on the desktop” can you explain, what are they? I would not think your project files will/should be there?

The icons the programme installs to be used to open the application.
And, sory, i can't run the programme!!!
It installs ok. It seems that it's ok, anyway.
I have tried with Video StudioX8, also boutgh from Coral and it happens the same...
It's strange. It happens since I had to change my hardisk and windows 7 was reinstalled.
So you konow, I have two computers and I'm trying to install it in the one I have Windows7.
As a matter of informations, can the programme be install in two computers? Perhaps tha's the problem!
A bit difficvult for me to explain!

Hi Alfons

As part of the EULA associated with Video Studio we are allowed to install the program on one (1) computer only, this only affects Video Studio program.
If that computer is to be replaced then yes we can install on another pc, provided the program is no longer used on the other pc.
I do not know how Corel actually controls that ruling.

The program installed on Windows 7 should run without problems.
do you have an internet connection when trying to run the program for the first time?

ok try ....
Go to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10
Locate the vstudio.exe file
Right click and choose “Run as administrator”

I Think I'll buy Video Studio 2018.
Apart form other interesting features it has the 3D Title editor.
Since I have problems to install Corel Motion 3D, 2018 will be very handy for me.
Anyone has tried versions 2018?

I have X10 now.
Do you know if I intall a upgrade will it be ok to work with?

You might pay an upgrade price, but the version you receive will be the full version, and not just an upgrade which converts X10 into 2018. X10 will continue to work, and separately so will 2018. It is just the price which makes the difference. If you have the earlier version you pay a lower price to get the higher version. It's called the upgrade, but may check to make sure you have the earlier version by asking for the earlier serial number.

If you are having problems installing MS3D then you should contact Corel Support
or
post to the forum explaining your problem.

I had problems installing MS3D with a serial number message, number of installs exceeded, support sorted that for me by reactivating the program.

I have X10 earlier serial number. I will consider buying 2018 seriously. It's cheaper because I have verison X10.
