Preferences Settings?

Post by Linda Lou »

When I open a new image, the top is always hidden in the upper left under the Tool Options. Is there a setting to open images in the center of the Workspace?
How do I make the Tool Options Palette more narrow? The bottom edge won't drag to anything smaller. All my icons are set at small. PSP 2018/ Windows 10 Pro

It's hard to tell from your picture but it doesn't look like your Tools Option tool bar is docked. Try double clicking on it and see if that snaps it into place and narrows it down a bit.

Does it help if you go to the menu and select Windows, then Fit to Window, Fit to Image, or Fit To Screen ?

Thanks. I think that was the problem, but double-clicking sends it to the bottom. How do I get it to stay at the top of the workspace? Docking is enabled, but that seems to be a temporary thing, and is probably how it ended up undocked as I was trying to move it to the top.

Okay, it sounds like it must have been docked on the bottom at one time. PSP remembers where it was last docked and when you double click on the tool bar it places it in the last docked location.

What you need to do is grab hold of the tool bar by holding down the left mouse key and drag it into the workspace. Docking arrows will appear. All you need to do is drag it to the up arrow and it will dock it on the top.

Here's a picture of what the screen will look like with the arrows visible.
