I've searched this forum & Google for an answer without results. I'm not one to just post a question without a little research but when I get results like the following it makes searching next to impossible:
Searched query: save menu template
Results = ignored: save menu
Searched query: save blu-ray menu
Results = ignored: save menu
So I get 271 pages of results with just Blu-ray. Then try searching "within" result and get the same ignored words.
So it has probably been asked before so I'm sorry in advance.
Is it possible to save your menu for the disk when burning a DVD? If not, why not?
Using both VS 8 & 10 Ultimate.
Also, I paid for the Blu-ray license for version 8. Why do I have to pay for it again in 10??
Thanks for any help,
John

Re: Unable to save DVD disk burn menu
What do you mean by "save the menu"? Why?
Exactly what is it you want to do?

Re: Unable to save DVD disk burn menu
Thanks for your reply. A menu for a DVD is what appears on you screen when a finalized DVD is inserted in the drive. It gives you the option to play individual chapters or the whole project and tells you what is on the DVD. To make a menu you click the VideoStudio Share Tab & Choose DVD or Blu-ray, after you have loaded your project, you are given the option to pick a menu. Maybe you call it something different in Canada? If you use other than what is on a stock template, you have created a custom menu with a background image, wording, placement of items, etc., etc. If there is no way to save what you have done, then the next time you have a new project but want the same looking menu when the DVD boots up, you have to recreate the menu. That is what I meant by "save the menu". Also, there is a dropdown to choose and sort the stock menu templates such as All Menus, SmartScene Menus, Thumbnail Menus, Text Menus, and Favorite Menus. Favorite menu is blank. I see no way to save a FAVORITE Menu or earmark one as favorite. I cannot find this option in either version X8 Ultimate and 10 Ultimate. I see where similar questions have been asked as far back as version 5 of VideoStudio and can't believe it hasn't been addressed or hopefully I am just missing what is in front of my nose.

You do not have to purchase a new version of the Bluray plugin
Restore Purchase should install the plugin
There was a problem with this feature but has been addressed by Corel
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 87#p353487
Restore for NewBlue is still causing trouble but Bluray should be ok
If you have purchased Bluray again contact Corel Support for a refund
Easily missed
Menus in Disc burning
From the Gallery tab where you choose a menu option, select the edit tab
Now choose Customise will open the Customise Menu panel
Here you can change the layout, text will remain as default
Once you move any element “Add to menu Template ” will show
Now from the Gallery it will show in Favourites
