I've been using Videostudio 10 for about 2 weeks, and although it can do the job ... its very unstable and here are serious bugs ive found
I have 1 main video and 4 overlay tracks as well as a music track. Trying to do a multi instrument music video synced to the music.
- If i add 1 track and set its transparency ... it moves all the other tracks transparency and they have to be readjusted.
- If i try to create a mask and its set to Video ( not still) it crashes when i hit ok. Also i can't figure out how to select frames to make a video mask.
- Using Still mask works but unless i save mask using "Save As" ... the mask moves around if i edit a mask on an other track.
- Sometimes Transperancy works.. sometimes it does nothing. The alignment of the yellow line doen't always line up with the video under it. when editing.
It does seem to be a powerful program if you can dance around the bugs though.

X10 has much more bugs than what you listed.GreenTurbo wrote:I've been using Videostudio 10 for about 2 weeks, and although it can do the job ... its very unstable and here are serious bugs ive found

-I don't understand your masks thing unless you give us a screenshot of what you want to do.
-Video mask apply only to untrimed video.

Here are 2 screen shots of the mask bug. After i create the mask, and click ok, it usually goes back to main screen
But if i want to re-edit I right click and select "Edit Mask" then it crashes !
( the attachments are in the wrong order.. the crash should be 2nd )

You mean Mask Create Editor ? ... yes

Oh.. you're using Mask Create Editor,
can't help you there. I don't (or will) use X10
I use X9 with masks.

Hi GreenTurbo
Your comment on the first post regarding Sync’ video to audio, we assumed you were using the MCE to do that, (Multi Camera Editor.) a little confusion there.
I have just run a quick test applying the Mask Creator to SP-V01.mp4 and SP-V10.wmv which appear to work without crashes. Accessing Edit mask was ok.
Your image shows the mask as a rectangle, do you wish that throughout the video? change the mask option to Still not Video.
It is possible that it is your video type that crashes the program, can you give details.
Right click the video clip on the timeline and choose properties. What are they?
