If I want to crop an image, one of the options is a dropdown with Rule of Thirds, Golden Spiral, Golden Ratio etc that seems to simply ignore my choice.
I tried Golden Ratio and in the end just gave up and set the width then calculated the height.
So exactly what does this dropdown do? How do I use it? It seems so obvious, but does not seem to work.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Cropping and ratios
It sets the grid to show a grid that represents Rule of thirds, golden spiral, golden ratio, it doesn't change the crop rectangle, in fact the grid will update to match these rules based on your currently selected heights and widths. Visual helper only.

Ah. OK. Thanks. I will look at it that way and see how it goes.
